I used to be a very fit endurance runner. I took up weight training 3 years ago to gain strength ontop of fitness. I have continued tio run at least twice weekly but only short distances. Now i cant get 50mtres without gasping for breath. I cant run 5km without stopping at least 6 times. Whats going on? Ive been doing some interval training which is ok because i have active rest times, but i cant manage anything continuous like i used to. I am very strong in the gym with bodyweight training ie lots of chinups etc and i lift heavy weights. I am 42 yr old female and weigh 54kg. Please help, its embarrasing!
I’m 15 and already have a pretty solid foundation with bodyweight training. However, I would like to get as strong as guys like Hannibal for King. I’m very committed to this. Training for size is NOT a top priority, but a few extra pounds wouldn’t hurt. However, I am focusing on strength and endurance, mainly strength. Do I need to change my diet to see any gains? I eat pretty healthy and have a fast metabolism. Thanks
i want to get into martial arts. Doing weight training and running but really want to start building bodyweight muscle and top level endurance to spar and drop bodyweight. what are several exercises to do.

I use 5lb weights, but it’s good to start lower and work towards them. Small correction, we actually do 2 minute rounds with 4 thirty second workouts within that 2 minute round, then you do either jumprope, shadowboxing, or running for about 1 minute or so between these 2 minute rounds. This is definatly a great exercise, I’ve seen a very big difference in my power and speed.
My goal is to increase endurance and strength.
2 questions:
1)If I did for example, the pushup exercise and I do it alot everyday, will I get better endurance results than waiting for 48 hours before doing it again?
2) If it is better to wait 48 hours before doing the same bodyweight exercise again, then what if I did strength exercises instead of endurance exercises the next day (But the strength exercise works the exact same muscles as the bodyweight exercise)?
I was wondering if its a good idea to combine a gym workout with bodyweight training. The weekly plan that i had in mind was 3 days for gym, and 4 days for bodyweight exercises. Are there any negative effects of this?
The bodyweight exercises are mostly from the books of Ross Enamait and Matt Furey.
The reason i’m asking is because i want to have both the "conditioned muscles" (for the endurance and overall fitness) and the "cosmetic muscles" (for … well.. you know).
